Storing Rules and Guidelines
As you will see on the My Items page, the amount you pay will be based on how many units of space your belongings take up.
Different sized objects are assigned different unit sizes. For example, a plastic storage container is worth 2 units, a large carpet is worth 3 units, etc.
If you use 7 or less units, the fee is a flat rate of $75. If you use more than 7 units of space, the fee is an additional $10 for each extra unit.
Use the unit sheet available in the sign up packet to determine how many units your belongings will occupy.
If you aren’t sure exactly what you will be storing, estimate the best you can and submit the sign up packet to reserve your space and secure your desired pick-up time. If you have later modifications, you may email email@example.com log to make changes. Change requests should be sent as early as possible to ensure there is adequate storage space. If additions put your total over the seven-unit base, you will be charged extra accordingly.
Identification is necessary for all items. Without it, we may not be able to properly inventory your items. You must clearly label all your items. Unlabeled items are subject to a labeling charge.
All other items besides those listed on the Unit Sheet must be boxed. You may purchase boxes from Campus Storage begining the final week of classes at the lowest available cost. Other packing materials will also be available at that time. Padding is not required but highly encouraged.
All boxes must fully support their contents.
Computers cannot be stored due to liability.
TIMES AND DATES
The deadline for storage sign-up is the final day of scheduled classes, or there is an additional charge of $30. Space is limited, so early sign-up is highly recommended. When picking up belongings, you must be present; otherwise we will not store your items. The final date for scheduled pick ups is May 17th. Requests for pick ups after May 17th are subject to approval and carry a minimum $30 charge.
